about

Slipper shows us a naked wrist and asks us 'What time is it?'

In their second full length album, Slipper surveys the wreckage of a (post) post industrial and pre-celestial landscape and tries to find connection and communicate with a facemasked, social-media-medicated populace.

The songs, recorded between Berlin and Warsaw, consist of textiles of tiny-toothed electric fence guitar, speedy bass thought-bubbles and splashing proto-memory drums. Before using these materials, Slipper considers their colouring and emotional-harmonic sensitivity. They tread softly through the undergrowth and take pause to hear the earth's true resononce. By repeating the question 'What time is it?' Slipper attempts to map new psychic landmarks by dialing in prisms of light, animal life and flying rivers of sound imagination.

Living between Berlin and Warsaw, they have been recording, mixing, and releasing the music themselves, from the start. ... more
